Created at FIT and inspired by Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”, this collection is saturated in the fury of gothic ideas and romantic feelings of the early 19th century. An obsession with the sublime and a terror of novel scientific discoveries permeates the book. Shelley’s artist contemporaries Henry Fuseli and Caspar David Friedrich are referenced throughout the collection.
